For a time, Wren lived in an apartment with one of her friends. When they decided to go to Knotts Berry Farm, Wren couldn't help but follow them. Soon, she found herself in Ghost Town, a section of the theme park, and she wandered around in Calico Square, where a dance was taking place. Wren was scared--she didn't even know how to dance!

Her name was Wren Blackpaws, a native of the town of Fantasia. She was 21 years old, a perfect age for a sweet young girl. Everyone loved her for her dancing brown eyes and her bubbling laughter, and she was cheerful and bold.
But that was just her imagination. The truth is, Wren had been raised in a mobile home park. She was used to being called "trailer trash" every now and then, and if that was not enough, they would actually hurl trash at her or her parents. [It is a beautiful and crisp clear morning in Toonsville. In Bert and Wren's bedroom, the alarm clock rings loudly and Bert hits it with his fist]
Bert: [After looking at the clock] 8:30 A.M in the morning. {Goes over to the window and looks outside. He takes a deep breath and smiles happily] A picture-perfect morning. And today's the day we go to the movie theater! But I gotta get everybody ready first... [Goes back to the bed and gets out a steel pan and ladle from under it. Then, he starts banging on the pan and marching around cheerfully, startling Wren from her sleep]
